For over 20 years Dr. Carl and JoLynn Krause have provided a holistic approach in serving missionaries, pastors and Christian leaders through counseling and consultation for ministry leaders through retreats, online and in-person counseling, seminars and training, both in Europe and U.S.

Beginning in 2024 they have retired from Barnabas Ministries but continue to consult and train others, serve as a referral link for missionaries seeking debrief or counseling, and serve pastors and Christian workers locally.

About the Krauses

Dr. Carl and JoLynn Krause have been in ministry together for over 50 years with extensive experience in pastoring, teaching and counseling. In 2002 they joined the staff of Barnabas Ministries and for 10 years directed and provided counseling services and retreats for missionaries in conjunction with Barnabas Zentrum in Austria. From 2012 to 2024 they provided counseling and debrief retreats in Grand Junction, Colorado for missionaries on home assignment as well as pastors and their spouses, and traveled to teach and work with missionary teams in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Carl holds a Master of Divinity and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Denver Seminary. As a pastor for 25 years, he frequently worked with families in crisis. Because of his love for young pastors, he has also served as a mentor to seminary students and served as adjunct professor at Colorado Christian University for 10 years where he taught in the degree completion program.

JoLynn serves with her husband as co-counselor and has a heart for ministry wives and their children. She holds a MA in Counseling from Colorado Christian University and has had a private counseling practice in Lakewood, Colorado. She has also worked with the Center for Organizational Ministry and Development assessing missionary and church planting candidates for several missions and denominations.
